Information Sheet for Holyland Cruise

8-22-10

If you have not gone online to register at www.celebrity.com, you need to do so ASAP.  You can put in all your pertinent information and then print out your boarding pass and luggage tag.  If any of you need help, just give me a call or e-mail me at rhurt73796@aol.com.  Some of the difficulties have been filling in the time of arrival and departure at the ship and what type of vehicle you will be arriving in.  I suggest 2:09 pm for arriving at the ship on Oct. 5 and 9:00 am for departure on Oct. 18.   These are not the correct times, but are sufficient for filling out the registration form.  Also, the vehicle of arrival will be “bus”.   Once onboard, I will be coordinating your departure time with Guest Relations.

Laundry Facilities – There are no laundry facilities on this ship, however, because of American Dream Cruises relationship with Celebrity Cruises, we have been given an “Onboard Value Booklet” for each one of you which contains a coupon for Laundry Service of one full Celebrity Paper Laundry Bag cleaned for $29 which you will find in your cabin.

Packing – Guests will need three types of clothing on your Celebrity Cruise; casual shipboard attire or day wear, smart casual wear for evening and formal evening wear.  There will be 3 formal nights during the cruise and several other dressy nights.  Day wear includes slacks or pants and a cotton blouse or shirt.  I would recommend for the ladies a dressy pair of pants or skirts and several dressy tops (anything beaded or sequined, etc. will not wrinkle.)  For shoes – a good pair of walking shoes, a pair of sandals and dress shoes.  Also, be sure to pack a bathing suit.  The Aqua spa pool is wonderful after a day of sightseeing.  If you have any questions, just give me a call.

Weather – Rome will be our coolest destination.  The average temperature in Romeruns from the low 60’s to the low 70’s.  It might be cool in the evening both in Rome and onboard the ship and I would recommend that you pack a sweater or light jacket.  As we travel further south, the temperatures will be warmer.  Israel in the 70’s to low 80’s and Egypt in the low 80’s to 90’s.

All the staterooms have hairdryers and refrigerated private bars.  The ship is equipped with Wi-Fi, or wireless internet-use areas.  If you would like to check your e-mail sometime during the cruise, I suggest you find an “internet café” on shore.  Just follow the crew; they usually know where to go.  (Less Expensive)

Sometime during September, you will be receiving the following items in the mail:

  • Customized luggage tags (courtesy of American Dream Cruises)
  • Insurance card to carry with you on your trip along with an explanation of your benefits
  • An onboard value booklet
  • A deck plan showing what cabins our group is occupying.
